Heading up the cat 2 Puerto de Almáchar climb, deep in the Andalusian Hills of southern Spain, Roglič stood out of his seat and launched off the front of the peloton in search of more time as he sought to win his third consecutive Vuelta title. Shortly after his attack, a hair-raising descent saw Roglič hit the ground following an over-committed turn. Down but not out, he picked hims
